San Antonio Missions Needs San Antonio’s Help

Only One Week Left to Vote the Missions to a $236,000 Grant

“We’re stuck in 13th place and we need San Antonio to come together to get a win for the San Antonio Missions,” said Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff.

The San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is one of only 20 national parks to be selected for the Vote Your Park national campaign sponsored by the Partners in Preservation (PIP). The 20 parks are competing for $2 million in grants designated for preservation projects at the sites. Winners will be determined by popular vote. Voting ends on July 5th.

“We only have one more week of voting in this national contest. Because we’re behind in the voting, we need our community to help us make a great stretch run. Every person who votes every day for the Missions is actually helping preserve these beautiful, historical structures which is where our City began nearly 300 years ago. This is a one-time opportunity to win $236,000 for the Missions preservation, we only need to be in 8th place to win and it would be a shame to lose that funding because we can’t take one minute out of our days over the next week to vote.”

Attendees: Friends and supporters please arrive by 9:30am and you will be part of our flash mob to stand with Judge Nelson Wolff and promote our voting campaign on local and social media.
